As advertised in the recent TBC an Open Community Meeting will be held next Tuesday 27th June at 7:30pm in the Aberdeen Arms to review the outcome of the Community Consultation and to identify priorities and projects which will help shape the future of the Tarves Village & Surrounding Area including Barthol Chapel when included within a new Community Action Plan.

All welcome, tea & coffee will be served.

TARVES BOWLING CLUB 2017

Tarves and District Bowling club is open for new members. All those who want to try and see if its something for you, please come along. Tuesday afternoon sessions are available for older new bowlers. Call (01651) 851415

87th OLDMELDRUM SPORTS & HIGHLAND GAMES – SAT 17 JUNE 2017

The 87th anniversary Oldmeldrum Sports & Highland Games take place on Saturday 17th June at the pleasure park, Oldmeldrum.

They will be officially opened at 1.30pm by Colin Slessor star of the BBCs “The Mart”.

Traditional highland events including the “Morris’s Hotel” British Caber Championship, the “Flowline Specialists” Highland dancing and the “Rollstud” Drum Majors display.

The Run 4 It Meldrum 5 Miler starts at 2pm and the kids mile at 2.10pm.

When their country is invaded by the Nazis, Jan and Antonina are forced to report to the Reich’s newly appointed chief zoologist, Lutz Heck (Daniel Brühl). To fight back on their own terms, Antonina and Jan covertly begin working with the Resistance – and put into action plans to save lives out of what has become the Warsaw Ghetto, with Antonina putting herself and even her children at great risk.
