Tourist accommodation is approved and rated by Aberdeen and Grampian Tourist Board, (www.agtb.org.uk) part of VisitScotland ( www.visitscotland.com ). Members of a tourist board must have set standards and conform to strict rules to ensure visitors have a good stay.

There are however, many other accommodation providers.  These will vary and you must satisfy yourself as to their quality.  Many will be very good but some will be too small to register with a tourist board or cater more for other accommodation needs apart from tourism.
