The village of Tarves in Aberdeenshire lies between Oldmeldrum and Methlick in the Formartine area of north east Scotland. Nearby the famous castles of the Forbes at Tolquhon and Udny and the seat of the Marquis of Aberdeen (Gordon) at beautiful Haddo House. Our landscape lies softly around the local hill, topped by the landmark 'Prop' of Ythsie. Our village is an ideal 'find' for those who want to discover the real Scotland from the visitscotland website. We welcome Scots returning to their roots and those wanting to taste the wonders of the larder of Scotland in this quiet corner of the gentle NE Scotland. We hope you Enjoy our little amateur website. |
