Review of Local Fire and Rescue Plans

Following publication of the < www.firescotland.gov.uk/media/1476819/SFRS_Strategic_Plan_2019_22_V 1.0.pdf> Scottish Fire and Rescue Service Strategic Plan 2019-22 in October 2019, we will be reviewing and revising our < www.firescotland.gov.uk/about-us/local-plans.aspx> Local Fire and Rescue Plans over the next few months. This is to ensure our local priorities align to our new strategic ambitions as well as remain relevant to local risk.

Your views are an important part of this review, and I wish to invite you to participate in a short survey. The survey is available online on the < firescotland.citizenspace.com/planning-and-performance/local-fire-a nd-rescue-plan-review-2020> SFRS Consultation Hub and will be open until 18 March 2020.

I would appreciate it if you could share with with any groups you may be involved with.

If you wish to discuss this further or wish to discuss any other fire and rescue service matter, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind Regards

Paul

Community Engagement Events

The next phase of Formartine Community Engagement events takes place in January following the successful implementation of these events in early 2019. For this phase we have teamed up with Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership so the events will have representatives from far more services. Local Policing Inspector Andy Scott said: “These are partner focussed events offering face to face contact with our communities to identify areas of concerns and issues. Whilst it is widely acknowledged there is already accessible means in which the public can contact each agency, many often do not want to attend Police Stations, Council Offices etc. and are not comfortable utilising social media platforms. It is often these individuals who form the majority of our most vulnerable citizens and as such the Community Surgeries will continue to encourage them to come along and address the most relevant agency with their concerns.” The dates of the surgeries are as follows; 31st January 2020 1000hrs – 1200hrs – Balmedie Library 1330hrs – 1530hrs – Pitmedden Hall The event will be attended by the following partners; . Police Scotland . Scottish Fire and Rescue Service . NHS . Aberdeenshire Council Area Office . Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership . Elected Members . Aberdeenshire Alcohol and Drug Partnership . Aberdeenshire Council Roads . Aberdeenshire Council Housing . Aberdeenshire Council Passenger Transport Unit . Aberdeenshire Voluntary Action . Citizens Advice Bureau . Formartine Community Councils
