Aberdeen, My Place in the Natural World

Join pupils from Aberdeen City Schools in premiere screenings of new promotional short films celebrating the outstanding natural beauty of the Country Parks in North East Scotland.
Project Overview:
As part of Year of Natural Scotland the Reading Bus and delivery partner Music Without Bars have teamed up to deliver the Creative Scotland funded and HESS Services sponsorship project ‘Aberdeen, My Place in the Natural World’. The project saw young people from Aberdeen visit Aden, Balmedie, Haughton and Haddo Country Parks. The culmination of the project is this January and February when we will host 4 events to celebrate and share the outstanding beauty of the North East where a premiere of a short promotional film about each park will feature.
There are 4 Country Park Film Events in total:
Aden: 28.1.14 at Aden Theatre, Aden Country Park, Station Road, Mintlaw, AB42 5FQ
Balmedie: 22.1.14 at Balmedie Primary School, Forsyth Road, Balmedie, AB23 8YW
Haddo: 5.2.14 at Melvin Hall, Duthie Road, Tarves
Haughton: 13.2.14 at Tullynessle and Forbes Public Hall, Tullynessle, Alford AB33 8QNEach event will start at 7pm, end at 8.30pm and include a short piece about the Aberdeenshire Ranger service, a presentation by a small number of pupils involved and the premiere of a new promotional short film. There will also be light refreshments available.
